heart

heart

a heart can be whole
or have holes
missing a part
a longing

a space

to fill up

or for memories...

Oh yes Karen -- most of the time our hearts have either a hole or a crack or two in them. I guess that's part of loving (and it can be hard sometimes).

Love your heart....hole and all! When you do this type of stitching do you use an embroidery hoop?? I hope you don't mind the question but i've been wanting to get my feet wet and try my hand at some sewing. I've bought material but it seems awful thin to be handling without a hoop. Maybe i should be doing more than one layer of fabric??Thank you for any help . Hugs! deb

Jinxxxygirl - I usually use a hoop. When I want the added texture I layer the top, batting and back together in the hoop. When using just a single layer of cloth I add a stabilizer of some kind ( interfacing that is fusible works well ) to keep it from stretching too much and distorting the whole thing. Hope this helps!
