thinking
about the many different hats we doff during our years.
from childhood play
magical and curious
to our grownup selves
with our many hats
How many hats have we unraveled in our times?
I once thought I had it figured out
( OK so really, more then once, especially during my teen years )
Now I know I never will
and that's fine.
I think that life is full of hats that need to be
unraveled...

Sometimes different depending on the the day and sometimes different depending on the decade.
Oh, so many hats to be tried on, worn, and discarded as well as unraveled in a lifetime.
What a poetic picture your words inspire. Thank you, Karen.
Now I think I'll go clear out that overstuffed drawer full of hats I hardly wear anymore. Might even unravel one or two to repurpose as art material.
haha i'm boring i wear the same hat day in and day out ;)
I certainly have worn a lot of hats in my lifetime. Too many to count. I wonder how many more are still out there to wear? Life continues to change.
I love it that there is always another hat we can don, if we wish. How long it will remain on our head remains to be seen -- but there are many waiting yet to be discovered.
Beautifully expressed
Love, Ma.
