11 -11 -11

the first snow came yesterday. fast and furious wet flurries. melting moments after hitting the ground. thankfully it came in short bursts and did not last long at all. The deer took it all in stride it seems.
I have been trying to finish up the quilt for the - due any day now - granddaughter and have managed to misplace one of the sewn blocks. OR maybe I never actually made the so called missing block...sigh. I think it is the latter. So hopefully I will get that last block sewn this weekend! No pictures until it is finished and gifted to baby. I did manage to make a little bird though.
a bit smaller version of the others from Terry Grants pattern. I still need to make a basket/nest for this one. Though I am thinking of making more and turning them into a mobile..
just a gratuitous photo of a beautiful buck before the snow.

Love the birds. A mobile would be great. I hung my punchneedle birds from a tree branch - putting the branch into a large vase. I love the effect of all the birds in the tree.

Hi, Karen. And Wow! your deer pictures are cool. Really liked your crow drawings and quilts as well (in the last post).
best, nadia

I'm glad you all are so enamored with deer. I don't like them, personally. I know Cris in Oregon loves them and tries to protect them. I simply think they are a nuisance and a driving hazzard. That said, these shots are very pretty, Karen and I love your little birds. I hope you get your quilt done in time for the new arrival.
Happy Turkey Day!
