Experimenting

What you see here is a tiny bit of play. I love reading Jude Hills blog  Spirit Cloth. There are so many wonderful  what ifs' that she explores. I have long admired her work.  This small bit made up of  pieces of old jeans(scavenged from a trash bin )cut up and woven together was inspired by Judes' work. It is a piece that I will go back to time and again. One that I will put through a wash cycle to fray up the edges - to soften the lines... While it is not really a piece in my comfort zone it is one I have really enjoyed playing with. To try a new thing. To learn something new.To explore and experiment and expand my own works.

What FUN! Doing something different and out of the comfort zone can be re-energizing. I look forward to seeing where you go with this looser and freer and more casual work.
