More This and That

Here are the things I have been doing.



Stitching on the crows. Adding texture and pattern stitch by stitch.

A close up. The yellow stitches are the basting threads.

The Blue coiled fabric basket.

Glass beads of cobalt and light blue along with nuggets of Lapis Lazuli adorn a row of coils.

The inside of the basket is like looking into a clear spring. Colors of the sea in blue green fabrics make up the bottom colors.

A while ago I won some wonderful fabric bits at Quilting Arts blog http://www.quiltingartsblog.com/ and they arrived last week. Here they are in my blue bowl. I think that I will just look at how lovely they are for a time. Eventually they will speak to me and tell me what they wish to become.
Aren't they just fabulous!

This and That

I have so many many things to share!! Well, that is I will have so many things to share just as soon as I get the photos taken! There will be the blue coiled basket and some detail shots of the crows. I need to get started on a baby grab ball for a coworkers baby shower on Friday. Yep, this Friday. And there is this award...

Lastly, Tracey of http://peppermintpatcher.wordpress.com/2009/02/21/sixth/ has posted a kind of challenge she was tagged with. to reveal the sixth photo in the sixth folder on your computer. This one I can do now. Seemed like fun. Then I discovered I don't have six folders...I regularly put my photos onto discs and purge them from the computer memory. So I went with the one folder I have and here is the sixth photo.

Makes me long for warmer weather. This is what we have right now...

todays title. a meeting of opposites

this is for Today's Title. Meeting of opposites. I don't know why I had such a hard time with this title. Drew a total blank and then thought Human and plant...opposite. Not human and animal, or black and white or even up and down. Those thoughts all came later. So the idea being to go with your first thought, here it is. Human meets plant. Pencil on paper.

over on the blog Today's Title is.. I posted these two things. I am not sure what to call them, Drawings? I suppose they are. Created using the Microsoft paint program that comes with the computer. Using the mouse as pen,pencil or paintbrush. A bit unwieldy at best! But this is a really quick way to go from idea to post. The basic idea for the blog is to go with the first thing that comes to mind from the title. Blue Chair, brought forth a blue chair in the forest. Rain, made me think of new yellow boots children and puddles.
