GARDEN TIME

Garden Time! With a full week of mild weather thoughts have turned to the garden.
Mr Gnome has whispered green green words and promises that this will not happen for months and months to come...The bushes have turned to lush green and purples. Flowers hint at new blooms in the coming days.Seedlings have been planted This little watermelon has such a long ways to go! I hope for the best as I have planted it behind chicken wire to keep rabbits away. But squirrels and chipmunks are harder to thwart.

Strawberry plants are sending out shoots and I await the sweet fruits to be.

This yellow pear shaped tomato plant has a good head start. Planted in pots to deter rabbits, a lilac pepper and a chocolate pepper plant stand tall for the sun. The pond is a serene and calming retreat from chores at days end.
Long trips are being curtailed as the gas prices keep climbing. Two days after taking this photo the prices rose to $4.19 a gallon.

Furry visitor

I had a friendly visit from this pretty creature while I was stitching in the woods. We shared lunch and then off he/she went while I continued with my threads.

Here is a little peek at what I was working on. Smallish in size but larger then postcard. I would say this is about six or seven inches in the hoop. I will post more pics as it progresses.
