Gift for a baby girl

Everything came to a stop so that I could finish this before my friend Anna has her baby! I found some colorful pink fabrics in my stash. Perfect! The little one is a girl and due any moment now. I cut up the little ovals and stitched and stuffed and embellished and Ta Da!

It is finished. The squishy grabby baby proof ( washable and all cotton )ball!

detail of stitching.

On a totally different note I want to let anyone reading this know about Paula's auction of one of her wonderful art clocks! She creates these from found objects and they are absolutely stunning! Go right now to her blog and take a look and the Bid while it is still going on!http://selftaughtartist.blogspot.com/

this makes me smile to think of how clean and safe and soft and fun this is for a baby... things to grab onto and eventually search and feel with it's tiny hands. did you create this design yourself?

Paula,The grab ball is a classic design. I made this for my children when they were little. I always liked that it is washable, as babies are prone to chewing on it etc.

She's going to love that ball in a little while-it's perfect. I bet you'll be making more gifts for her before too long.
