Holidays

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am still re doing the quilting on the Maiden. Almost ready to take new photos of it for the blog. In the mean time here is another detail of an older quilt. The busy season has all ready begun for me at work and I hope to be able to post at least once a week. Enjoy the holiday doings everyone!

Maiden screeches to a sudden slow!

I truly thought I would be finishing the Maiden and the Trout this weekend. However, after having her hanging up and looking at it for a bit I decided that I just wasn't happy with the background quilting. Really not happy. Sheesh. I tried to ignore the little nagging thoughts. I mean, really, the binding is on all ready! So in the end she came down and out comes the seam ripper and all those careful ( but oh so wrong ) stitches. I am now working on one corner first to make sure this is what I DO want to do. I felt it needed more curves and open space then what was there.

So here I am now. Beads will be added after I re-quilt the background. SIGH!
